Diagnosis
Stem 160 um in diameter, roughly spherical; epidermis single-layered, cortex parenchymatous; xylem consisting of two metaxylem and two protoxylem vessel elements; roots spherical or ovoidal; epidermis uniseriate; cortex parenchymatous, cells up to four layers; endodermis uniseriate; metaxylem of three elements; protoxylem six, comparatively smaller cells; microsporocarps ovate, 1.5 mm in diameter; sporocarp wall enclosing massulae composed of epidermal cells; axis of the sporocarp on one side, enclosed by the epidermal layer of the sporocarp; wall of the axis parenchymatous, double-layered; cortex aerenchymatous; stele 20 lain wide; massulae divided into four, oval or triangular partings; glochidia lacking; microspores numerous, 25 um in diameter, triradiate mark present.
