- Diagnosis
- Thallus long, club-shaped, circular to oval in cross section. Closely spaced horizontal rows (whorls) of branches which are shaped like a drumstick (i.e., a slender shape with a ball-like expansion at the end). Central stem club-shaped and relatively wide in proportion to the entire thallus. Sporangia probably spherical and developing at the ends of some of the primary branches in the upper part of the thallus.
