Diagnosis
Pods straight, usually with almost parallel or slightly convex lateral margins, rounding toward the base and apex but narrowed at the extreme base to a slender stipe up to 4 mm long; apex variable from rounded to acute; length 3.2 to at least 4.5 cm (largest specimens incomplete), width 0.7–1.2 cm, length/width ratio of 3.2–4.8; ventral margin of pod with a narrow veinless wing (1 mm wide), with fine, closely spaced longitudinal striations. Ratio of pod body to wing of 8–10 : 1. Venation over the main body of the fruit mostly obscure, where visible it is very fine, oriented transverse to pod length. Approximately 6–12 seed chambers, estimated from the length of the pod in relation to the well-preserved portions with visible seed outlines; seeds oriented transverse or slightly oblique to the fruit length.
