- Diagnosis
- Fronds at least bipinnate. Sterile pinnules ranging from pecopteroid to sphenopteroid, with lobate margins and round apices. Pinnule midveins slightly undulating. Lateral veins dichotomizing up to two times. Fertile pinnules possessing isolated free sporangia, sometimes arranged in compact clusters. Thick-walled cells specialized for opening stomium located above stomium and forming short row. Each fertile pinnule with 80–100 sporangia.
