- Diagnosis
- Leaves comparatively Iarge in size, somewhat inequilateral, orbicular or ovoid in general outline, 8 to 11 em long and 8.5 to 9 cm wide; base asymmetrie, deeply cordate; apex rounded or obtusely pointed; midrib stout, prominent, nearly straight; secondary nerves stout, 6 to 8 subalternate pairs, diverging from the midrib at angles of about 30 degrees on the middle of the blade, less on the upper, more angles on the lower; a basal pair of secondaries making nearly right angle with the midrib, and sending off several tertiaries; generally secondaries in the Iower half of blade sending off several tertiary branches on lower side of them ; tertiaries among inter-secondary spaces thin but distinct, irregularly percurrent; margin duplicately serrate, with nearly equal-sized and acute teeth; texture thin, membranaceous; petiole stout, over 1 cm long.
