- Diagnosis
- Thallus encrusting to nodular; 0.5 to 6,2 mm. thick. Composed of long, slender, tubular cells having a diameter of 0.006 to 0.013 mm. and forming irregular growth zones. No cross partitions visible. Cells rather widely spaced with thick coating of algal dust between. No suggestions of sporangia.
