Originally given as "Polycingulatisporites triangularis (Bolkhovitina) n. comb. Synonymy: Chomotriletes triangularis Bolkhovitina 1956: 61, pl. 7 fig. 98a, ?figs. 98b, 98c."; corrected to later validly published basionym, Neochomotriletes triangularis P.Reinh. (1962).
