- Endocarp elliptical to globulose with a reticulate pattern of rounded and thin to large ridges, which delimit 11–20 polygonal areoles on each lateral face, with a few or no freely ending ridgelets. Endocarp possesses a symmetrical pair of horn-like protrusions compressed on the keel, positioned eccentrically and subapically. Endocarp wall 0.16–0.26 mm thick and 0.4–0.56 mm thick with ridges. Inner endocarp surface densely covered with regularly spaced and sessile, rounded papillae. Length of endocarp: 4.38–6.05 mm; width
of endocarp: 3.49–5.19 mm.
