- Leaves lanceolate with a sharply cuneate, slightly asymmetrical base and a blunt apex, 7 cm long, up to 1 cm wide. Venation of a strong midvein, gradually thinning upward; distinct secondary veins very thin (4–5 times thinner than the midvein) and delicate, nine pairs of them depart from the main vein at an angle of 30–40°; slightly curved, they gradually approach the
leaf margin; short intermediate veins between some of the secondary veins; tertiary veins nearly straight or brokenly sinuous, they form nearly right angles with the secondary veins, some of them almost as strong as the secondary veins as they pass along the leaf margin; quaternary network not visible.
