- Diagnosis
- Pinnule margin serrate, with dichotomizing veins arising alternately from a central vein at the base and terminating in teeth. Numerous dichotomously branching veinlets arising from the veins. Pinnules amphistomatic, with stomates rare on the upper surface. Stomates normally with five subsidiary cells. Epidermal cells on upper and lower surface of pinnules normally with long axis parallel to veins, but occasional groups of cells scattered at random angles. No papillae present.
