- Endocarp ovoid to fusiform, 2.9–12 mm long
and 1.9–6.3 mm wide, length-to-width ratio 1.2–3.1, pointed
basally, rounded or pointed apically with an apical stylar protrusion
and a weak subapical collar (formed by an epigynous
perianth), tetralocular, 1–4 ridges per germination valve. Ovate
to lensoidal in longitudinal section, square or rectangular to elliptical
in transverse section. Germination valve one per locule,
opening apically, hinging basally from, near, or just below apical
upper half of endocarp. Locules trapezoidal to subtriangular
in transverse section. Wall uniformly thick, ca. 0.2–1.0 mm (average,
0.6 mm).
