Diagnosis
Trunk composed of fundamental tissue and radially arranged vascular bundles; fundamental tissue with tubular cells that are isodiametric in transverse section, thin walled cells, branching and fusing forming wellmarked intercellular spaces; vascular bundles reniform shaped in cross section, surrounded by three to four layers of rectangular, elongated, thin wall cells; vascular bundles have a fibrous cap, composed by thick–walled cells, some with black contents, each vascular bundles with 2 to 3 metaxylem vessels with simple perforation plates and opposite pits, and 3 to 9 protoxylem cells.
