- Diagnosis
- Small, scale-like leaves, spirally arranged on shoots. Leaves ensiform, bifacially flattened, softly keeled abaxially, with acute apex, marginal
frill only at the leaf apex, up to 3.8mm long and up to 1.6mm wide, amphistomatic. Florin rings reduced or absent, stomatal apparatus less cutinized than epidermal cell walls, 38.3–70.1 lm long and 34.4–63.8 lm wide. Stomata in very discontinuous rows, appearing randomly distributed, the stomata randomly oriented in relation to the major leaf axis, with
four to five subsidiary cells arranged in a ring. Epidermal cells irregularly shaped.
