- Axes naked, 1.5-3.5 mm wide. Spikes 3.0- (3.8)4.4 mm wide and up to 24.0 mm long. Lateral sporangia closely and spirally arranged on fertile axes of 0.8-( 1.0b1.3 mm in width. Sporangia vertically elongate in shape, 1.0- (2.0 j2.8 mm high and 0.8-(1.1b1.4 mm wide. Sporangial stalks indistinct.
