Diagnosis
Fruit fusiform or elliptical, with a long and slim peduncle. Fruit head well-defined, cylindrical or conical, surface with fine ribs or slightly fimbriate; two pairs sub-equal, medium, and robust horn-like arms, inserted from the broadest part of the fruit body and protruding horizontally or upward from the same level at the neck of the fruit body; fruit base mostly acute in outline, no retrorsely barbed harpoons in armed apically at immature stage and with retrorsely barbed harpoons at the late stage of ontogenetic development; lower part of the fruit body broadly obtriangular and elliptical in outline covered by longitudinal ribs observed on several specimens; basal part abruptly narrowing and elongated; basal ring and scar relatively small, long pedunculated basal appendix attached to the fruit base can be observed in some specimens; short spine-like intersepal appendages on the surface of the fruit body.
