Fruits single in each cupule, usually broadly conical, 7–15 mm long and 5–10 mm wide, enclosed from half to most of its length by the cupule but not fused to it except at the fruit base; abscission scar basal, rounded, 3.0–4.1 mm in diameter, deeply concave. Fruit wall woody, composed of a palisade-shaped exocarp, a multi-layered mesocarp and a thin, one-layered endocarp.
