- An incubously leaved liverwort with conduplicate-trilobed, entire leaves with a leaf lobule generally directed toward the base of the stem and forming a
bell-shaped watersac with a smooth apex, slightly longer than wide, widest at the mouth; leaf lobes rounded at apex; lobe cell walls with distinct trigones, without recognisable intermediate thickenings, ocelli lacking;
underleaves bifid, widely obovate-obcuneate, somewhat wider than long, toothed at the margins.
