- Diagnosis
- Endocarps ovoid, with acuminate apex. Germination valves short and elongate with one to three ridges. Exterior periphery of septa forming longitudinally elongate ribs. Outer endocarp consisting of sclereids. Inner endocarp present, composed of circum-locular fibres. Three dorsal vascular bundles per germination valve.
