- Diagnosis
- Leaves large, some 20 cm length or even more, ovate-lanceolate, entire margined, coriaceous, leaf margin in upper part of the leaf is slightly wavy. Leaf apex slightly attenuates. Leaf base is wedgeshaped; midrib is very thick, prominent. Petiole short, thickened at the base. Secondary veins are distinctly arcuate. The tertiary veins are rare, slightly winding, some of them bifurcate. Those of the tertiary veins, departing orthogonally from the midrib, are connected with arcs of secondaries. A reticulum of higher order venation is prominent and forming a tiny ladder-like cells.
