- Foliar element deeply lobed, bipinnate to tripinnate with a stiff appearance and sharply pointed tips; densely spaced, stalked, scale-like, lateral trichomes attached to various ordered axes and lobe margins of the lamina; smaller scale-like lingulate trichomes densely attached to the main axis.
