- Diagnosis
- Lobed cupules ovate in outline. Outer cuticle of cupule lobes thick; cells of outer epidermis short to elongated, tetra- to polygonal; anticlinal walls straight and thick, periclinal walls smooth, rarely with hollow papillae; cells near the distal part with small papillae. Stomata sparse to numerous, randomly scattered, orientedmostly along the lobe axis; some of the subsidiary cells with small papillae.
