Diagnosis

Female cones solitary and terminally on short lateral leafy branchlets, two cone-bearing lateral branchlets opposite on a main twig. Seed cone oblong, apex rounded, base acut, with 20–42 cone scales, peltate to truncated-cone-like in shape, deriving from the axis in right angles, spirally arranged. At least seven seeds per scale, seeds in one row, locule campylotropous, mikropyle distally orientated. Shoots with helically arranged leaves, leaves persistent. Leaf falcate in shape, in crosssection basally three- or four-sided, apically three-sided to flattened, base decurrent.
