- Seed cones cylindrical. Bract-scale complexes
helically arranged, foliate, and straight in profile.
Ovuliferous scale fused to the bract for more than half
the length of the bract, free at the tip and margins;
width of the free ovuliferous scale tip almost equal to
half the width of the bract, fleshy. Cone axis lacking
resin canals. Primary division of bract-scale trace vertical.
Resin canals originating de novo within the bract,
abaxial to the vasculature. Three seeds per bract-scale
complex, winged.
