- Fronds very large, up to 60 cm long, bipinnate to tripinnate. Frond rachis is welldeveloped,
thick, robust, longitudinally striated. Pinnae long, narrow. There are intercalated
pinnules attached to the frond rachis and disposed between bases of last order pinnae. Intercalated pinnules are similar or almost identical to common ones, sometimes slightly shorter. Pinnules are
pecopteroid, entire-margined, lanceolate, with rounded to acute apices. Pinnule midvein is short,
weakly developed. Lateral veins come from the midvein under an acute angle. There are round
resin bodies in the mesophyllous tissues of the leaf. Stomata practically unsunken, monocyclic,
with proximal cutinization of the guard cells.
