- Diagnosis
- Involucres (5.5–)6.5–8(–10) mm long, up to 13 mm wide, central nutlet ca.
3 × 2 mm, globose to ovoid, flanked by two nutlets ca. 1 mm wide. Spines helically arranged, branched. Peduncle up to 9.5 × 0.3 mm, covered with trichomes ca. 1 mm long, mixed with much shorter ones.
